Weisbaden's Wilhelmstrassenfest

So I know I am a week behind, but I will get this thing updated eventually.

June 13 and 14

Anyway, I somehow managed to time my trip so that my first weekend in town was the weekend of a festival called Wilhelmstrassenfest (because they hold it on the street called Wilhelmstrasse). It was a rather large festival and a lot of fun. A good introduction to the city! There were tons of booths selling food, beer, wine, etc. There was a section of booths selling crafts and second-hand items and all sorts of things. There were carnival rides, stages set up for concerts and dance class performances. It actually kind of reminded me of the festival of the Arts in Grand Rapids, except bigger.

anyway, here are some pictures!

A ferris wheel in front of the Kurhaus (the casino)

All in all a very fun time!
